Found in my Mother’s paperwork… A folder containing the receipts and other paperwork for the family cemetery plots purchased by Sam Yacovitch. On the folder was a list of who was buried in each plot.
The earlier entries were written by my father. My mother added Dad’s information. I added Aunt Mamie’s information.
The plots were purchased by Sam after the death of Walter. The grave ownership certificates were issued November 19, 1956. Purchase price was $162.
Sam (grandfather): 2 February 1896 – 8 October 1965.
Rose (grandmother): 22 October 1898 – 4 July 1972.
Walter: 21 September 1935 – 28 October 1956.
Richard Roth (uncle): 28 August 1926 – 18 September 1976.
Daniel: 23 January 1923 – 28 October 1989.
Oda: 10 May 1925 – 16 November 2019.
Mamie: 1919 – 12 November 2016.
Mount Royal Cemetery, Section “L”: This section of the cemetery seems to have graves for the Ukrainian Orthodox community associated with Saint Sophie Ukranian Orthodox Cathedral. Plot assignments written on the folder are:
